Soffit and Fascia
Wood has traditionally been used to enhance a home's
exterior.
Fascias, bargeboards, soffits, and cladding - it's
surprising how much timber has been used on the outside of
most houses.
The trouble with this is, as well as your guttering and
downpipes, it all needs regular maintenance to stave off the
problems of rot, rust, mould and insects - let alone keeping
it looking smart and clean.
After about five years of being constructed, you will see
that the wood is being attacked by the ravages of nature.
Timber being a natural product, will is always try to
degrade. Unless you use regular and continued protection
from paint or preservatives you will see the wood rot.
With Dura Clad systems a product made from a UV stabilized
material is used, so there is no maintenance other than
occasionally washing the surfaces down from atmospheric
dusts and grime.
